Imagine yet unheard soundscapes
A sonic playground of textures and shapes
An uncommon phrase, surrealist display,
Poly-rhythmic temporal phase
Creations flow through my mind
You ask, “Are they designed
for mass retail or beverage sales?
A TV theme song is the holy grail…”
So you think that’s how it should be
And they say that’s how they want me
Well I’m numb and overwhelmed
But all I know is that it’s right
To follow my dreams
Sounds like visions fill my dreams
A&R says they’re too extreme
For corporate logos, or reality shows
Infomercials always expose
Impressionist harmonies
with neo-baroque melodies
the ultimate mix, heavy fusion licks
and Beethoven-esque symphonics
Yes, I think that’s how it should be
And don’t care about how they want me
because I’m numb and overwhelmed
All I know is that it’s right
To follow my dreams
